One more thing
Can we try medic rules? and if so how would they work?

you would have to use medic rules for non fatal hits, such as legs arms etc.

but it would be a good idea to try

So if you take one to the leg and the medic heals you you get your wound back?

well the only person ive known to actually effectively use a knife in an airsoft battle and who would be the only person to maybe be able to knife someone out would be, Bill, the Ninja/mercenary/repo man/ movie set builder. No joke.

Well, with most modern ammunition, bullets are meant to wound rather than kill anyways. A shot to anywhere but a vital organ will likely not cause death. Add in helmets, body armor, and a dose of common sense, and you could have a very interesting ruleset there.

yeah, exactly because it is really a non fatal hit in theory, and it is also a hit that can take you out. but generally you could still fight

most body armour isnt going to stop a rifle round. most military ammunition is velocity and ability to pierce. hollow ammunition is what will kill you because it expands and causes more damage

I'm constantly reminded of the video where a marine gets sniped by a Dragunov in the chest, gets back up after a second, takes cover, and eventually captures and gives medical aid to the insurgent who shot him.

not police, police shoot to kill because if an officer is threatened with violence then he has the right to do whatever it takes to stop the threat (or something like that). However with war, wounding an enemy would require another enemy to come out and get him, thus further weakening the enemy forces. Also there might be something in the Geneva convention or something.
