No joke, when I saw that, it made me want to throw up. I can't even imagine how impractical that rifle is, oh no, yes I can! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ChauchatLook at the magazine on that and read the battlefield performance in the link. It was used in WWI by the French and US forces. We had the BAR in 1917, just in time for us to go to war with it, but it was thought to be so technically advanced that the US were afraid of it falling into enemy hands. So the Chauchat took its place and we don't know how many lives it claimed by jamming in the battlefield and crucial moments.
