So, I went out and made some stencils and bought some paint today. Tested out my technique on an old springer and was relatively pleased for a first time paint job, and a quick one at that. There are quite a few smudges in the paint - mostly from me trying to quickly paint it - but overall its o.k. I am going to paint my rails saturday so they are camo'd out for the game.

Thanks, I basically did the same thing. But i found out its much easier to do this pattern on a larger surface or otherwise have much smaller stencils.
I am going to try this on my rail guards tonight.

I was thinking about it, but do I still need it even with krylon fusion paint?
And if so, what kind of clearcoat should i use?
